Tour de Coops Boulder County is working to connect the community of Boulder County with localization efforts like Backyard chicken coops, Bee Keepers, and Permaculture efforts throughout the county.
In 2011, Visionary Values donated it’s services to create the website and data interfaces for Tourdecoopsboulder.com. Our ongoing interest in working closely with change-makers in the region has led us, for the second consecutive year, to also join in the efforts of the organizers of the Tour De Coops for Boulder and Lyons! This year we are excited to be integrating the chicken coop owners, beekeepers, permaculturists, event sponsors, etc. into our database as we gear up for another great event! Visionary Values will utilize the Tour as a springboard for creating a comprehensive database for homesteading and sustainability issues, events, people, places and organizations in Boulder County and beyond! Additionally, we are thrilled to begin testing our data visualizations by integrating the data collected into maps, timelines, and interactive node-based presentations.
